The Comprehensive List of Talks & Resources for 2024
Resources, talks, podcasts, etc that I've been a part of in the first half of 2024
At the end of 2023, I did a post where I shared out the various talks, podcasts, and writings that I’ve been involved in around generative AI. I did this for three reasons. First and foremost, it gives me a moment to look at the work and reflect. The second is that it helps me to put it altogether in one spot, especially when people are requesting examples of my work. Finally, it provides readers, new and old, with a central space to find my materials in case they want to borrow or adapt them (much of the resources I build are created with Creative Commons licenses).
Lightning Talks
I’ve had a lot of fun with lighting talks. I’ve done other ones before (see this one on audiobooks and this one on how to flip the narrative on open-access research). These talks are mostly 5-tips talks that I’ve done for folks as well as a “AI moonshot” talk for AI for Educators.

Talks & Keynotes
I continue to receive invitations to do talks for institutions to energize, inform, and frame generative AI for faculty, staff, and organizations.

Workshops
I’ve been doing a lot more workshops and these are so much fun! The opportunity to dig into the tools, brainstorm with faculty, staff, and students can be a lot of fun and opportunities for me to learn more through these engagements.

Podcasts & Panels
I’m a big big fan of panels and podcasts. More often than not, I’m with several other folks and even though we might have a good Venn diagram of ideas, approaches, and experiences with generative AI, there’s still a great alchemy that happens where the sum is better than the parts. I learn so much from fellow panelists that helps me think differently than before.
